Description

Crispy oven-baked cabbage burgers that are golden outside and tender inside, perfect for a healthy and budget-friendly dinner.


Ingredients

Scale

1 small green cabbage (600 g / 1.3 lb), shredded

2 large eggs

1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs

1 small onion, grated

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup (60 g) shredded cheese (optional)

2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)

2. Salt shredded cabbage and rest 10 minutes

3. Squeeze out excess moisture

4. Mix all ingredients in a bowl

5. Shape into patties

6. Place on lined baking sheet

7. Brush with oil

8. Bake 20 minutes, flip, bake 10–15 more minutes

9. Serve hot

Notes

Remove as much moisture as possible from cabbage

Adjust breadcrumbs as needed for texture

Flip carefully to maintain shape
